Siddharth Anand's Exit Created Budget Constraints for Krrish 4!

According to a recent report by Bollywood Hungama, filmmaker Siddharth Anand, who was producing the film has backed out of the project which has created budget constraints.

The report quoted a close source as saying, "Krrish 4 warrants the budget of approx. Rs 700 crores and no studio is willing to shell out such an exorbitant amount and take that big a risk. Hrithik had assigned the job of getting a studio on board to his friend, Siddharth Anand, who was also producing the film."

According to the source, the leading studios in India were hesitant with the Rs 700 crore budget. They weren't confident about Krrish 4 at this whooping budget post-Marvel era.

The source also revealed that Siddharth Anand and Marflix will no longer be a part of Krrish 4. Following a closed-door meeting, Hrithik and Rakesh have decided that Krrish 4 will be produced by FilmKraft and they will discuss with leading studios across India to lock in a lucrative deal.

New Team to Come Onboard!

Moreover, the source said that as Siddharth took a backseat, Karan Malhotra, who was supposed to direct Krrish 4, will no longer helm it. The Roshans have decided that a completely new team will come on board. First, they will rework the budget and then take the film on floors.

Who Will Direct Krrish 4 If Not Rakesh Roshan?

After Siddharth and Karan's exit, the question is 'Who will direct Krrish 4?' During an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Rakesh Roshan said that he will not direct Krrish 4 and will pass on the mantle to someone eligible.

Earlier, Rakesh had announced his retirement from direction. During a recent interview, he said, "The day has to come when I have to pass on the baton. So, it’s better I do it when I am in my senses so that I can overlook the process as well and ascertain whether he’s doing it correctly or not. Tomorrow, if I am not in my senses and I’ll have to pass it on, I will not know what they are making.”

Further, he added that he doesn't feel sad about not directing Krrish 4 and they have to take the chance. Even there is no guarantee that if he directs the movie it will be a blockbuster.
