Directed by Sujoy Ghosh and Siddharth Anand and produced by Gauri Khan under the Red Chillies Entertainment banner, new updates about this action-thriller have surfaced.

Pinkvilla has reported that Shah Rukh Khan will be playing the role of an underworld Don with grey shades in King. Both the directors-Ghosh and Anand are planning to introduce this Don version of SRK that will have a lot of swag, attitude, and style. Reportedly, the action in the movie will be raw and rustic.

Shah Rukh Khan is well aware that after the massive success of Pathaan and Jawan, his fans want to see him doing powerful roles in action movies and he is trying to deliver what they want and expect from him.

The source says, “Shah Rukh Khan is making films for the audience and is well aware of their urge to see him in shades of grey. King is his passion project and he has been meticulously working on all aspects of the project with Siddharth Anand and Sujoy Ghosh. They have collectively carved a very cool full attitude and swag character with shades of grey for SRK in King.”

SRK is expected to change his look and will most probably sport a small beard and long hair as Don in King. The source added, “While the character designing is already done, Siddharth Anand is presently working on the action blocks with international stunt teams. Sujoy, on the other hand, is getting the dialogue draft ready, whereas SRK is overseeing the creative process and training with Suhana on some new-age action sequences.”
