Rocking Star Yash is not just popular within the Kannada Film Industry now. After the monstrous success of KGF Chapter 2, Yash rose to acquire fame pan-India and his popularity sprawls overseas as well. Currently, Rocky Bhai has become a household name and movie lovers are waiting to watch more of his films.

While KGF Chapter 3 is in the pipeline, two more flicks might come up before the most-anticipated movie. As per the earlier buzz, two movies tentatively titled Yash19 and Yash20 will release before KGF 3. While Yash19 will be helmed by Narthan, Shankar will direct Yash20. Meanwhile, another buzz suggests, Narthan will not be directing Yash19. However, there is no official confirmation backing the rumours.

Meanwhile, a new report from a leading media suggests that producer Mahesh Danannavar has announced acquiring the rights of a Yash-starrer Kannada film that established him as a lead actor.

As per the announcement, Yash-starrer Googly, a romantic-comedy film will be remade in Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Punjabi, and other languages.

Talking about Yash, Mahesh Danannavar said, "I have close ties with the Kannada film industry and have followed Yash`s career closely and seen him grow from strength to strength to the phenomenon he is today posting the success of the KGF franchise."

Excited about the project, Mahesh said, "This film depicts him in an off-beat romantic avatar and I feel, audiences who have not seen the Kannada version will enjoy different versions of the story in different languages."

"We will soon make a more detailed announcement but this is truly an exciting time for all makers," he added.

Further, he went on to add, "Actors, producers, and storytellers are now truly consolidating various industries into one powerful entity called the Indian film industry where we can collaborate across regions and create content that transcends all barriers. This film will be a perfect example of this synergy."

The KGF star made his silver screen debut in 2007 with Jambada Hudugi. Next, he played a supporting role in Moggina Manasu for which he got the Filmfare award for the Best Supporting star. As a lead actor, he made his debut in 2008 with Rocky, however, it went utterly flop. Later, Yash went on to establish himself as a lead actor in the Kannada movie industry with the college romance-comedy flick Googly in 2013.

Apart from Yash, Googly starred Kriti Kharbanda in the lead and Ananth Nag and Sadhu Kokila play the primary supporting roles.  The film helmed by Pavan Wadeyar was a box office success by receiving highly positive reviews. The film won multiple nominations at the 3rd South Indian International Movie Awards. The movie already has been remade in the Bengali language; the copyright for the remake was sold to Eskay Movies.
