Akshay Kumar, Ananya Panday and R Madhavan’s Kesari 2 is based on how Jallianwala Bagh massacre affected Indians. It revolves around famous Indian lawyer during British reign, C Sankaran Nair who fought against the British Empire in London.

While most of today’s Indians have read about the horrific manslaughter in Jallianwala Bagh in books and seen in black-and-white videos and documentaries, a few descendants of families who were a part of the Jallianwala Bagh incident still recall how their grandparents and parents were deeply affected by it.

A 95-year-old descendant of Jallianwala Bagh massacre victim recently opened up about Kesari 2 and how the tragedy changed the life of his family forever. For him, the massacre incident is not a movie but a real-life experience.

Kin of Jallianwala Bagh survivor recalls sad memories

A 95-year-old kin of survivor of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre has an entirely different take on the way history is looked at. From how the pain remained even after the massacre ended for a long time to how families affected by the incident tried to get back to their lives weaving pieces, the survivor shared several memorable things on The Tatva India.

The news source says that although Akshay Kumar -led Kesari 2 does show the horrible act and the resistance shown by the people to the hilt it still does not throw light on the way this incident affected the lives of people who were victims of the incident or who survived and carried the pain all through their lives. The kin of the survivor said that the massacre did not die that day but kept on echoing in every choice that they made all through their lives.

He even recalled how a blood-stained shawl adorned the walls of their house and how his grandfather would become silent during April at the dinner table or how his father insisted that they should only speak in their native language.
