Kareena turns 43: Major controversies and catfights of Bollywood’s Poo

Kareena Kapoor Khan turns 43 today. The sensational Bollywood actress has always been hailed for her beauty and sensuousness and even today is known for her powerful personality and fashion choices. While Bebo as she is fondly called among friends always stands strongly in support of her sister Karisma or friends Malaika and Amruta, she has a temperament and attitude that has triggered a few controversies as well as catfights.

Kareena Kapoor Khan courted political controversy for the first time in 2009 when many Hindu groups protested against her bare-back poster with Saif Ali Khan as a part of the promotion for her movie Kurbaan. Many posters were defaced and many right-wing groups called for a ban on the film.

Saif’s scuffle with NRI

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena grabbed the headlines when the Nawab was involved in a scuffle with Iqbal Mir Sharma, an NRI businessman at Taj Hotel’s restaurant in Mumbai. At the time of the brawl, Saif was accompanied by Bebo, Amrita Arora, Malaika, and sister Karisma. Reportedly the fight started because the NRI businessman behaved inappropriately with Kareena and the other girls.

During her initial days of career, Kareena Kapoor Khan worked with both Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Bipasha Basu in Aitraaz and Ajanabee respectively. PeeCee and Bebo did not see eye to eye during the shooting of Aitraaz and the latter even made remarks on the desi girl’s accent on Koffee with Karan. It was followed by lots of jibes and digs at each other making it an ugly catfight.

Kareena was not on good terms with Bips when they shot for Ajnabee and even called her co-star Kali Billi publicly.

The Good Newwz actress was in a relationship for many years with Shahid Kapoor before falling for Saif. While a liplock is quite common nowadays, two decades ago it was a big thing, and when an MMS that showed Sasha and Bebo locked in a steamy liplock surfaced, both the actors were very much upset.
