Kareena Kapoor Khan recently attended an event in Mumbai which was widely covered by the media. She looked beautiful and very stylish in traditional red attire. Fans loved the way Bebo carried herself at the event but when it was time for the National Anthem, things did not go as smoothly. While the Bollywood star sang the National Anthem “Jana Gana Mana” properly along with others present at the event, it was the way she was standing that drew a lot of flak.

As is the norm, whenever a National Anthem is being played, a person must stand in attention. But the video clip that has now gone viral shows, the Jab We Met actress clasping her hands at the front. It raised many eyebrows as netizens slammed her for not knowing this basic gesture that is a part of respecting a National Anthem.

An Instagram user wrote that it is so pathetic that stars do not know how to stand during the National Anthem. Another social media user said, “National Anthem mei Attention mode mei khade hote hai.” It is quite obvious that Kareena Kapoor Khan joined her hands at the front unknowingly but then being a celebrity they have the responsibility to put the right foot forward and that is why get slammed when they commit such a mistake.

Work-wise, the stunning actress is all set to make her debut on OTT with Sujay Ghosh’s Jaane Jaan which also stars Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat. In this movie, Jaideep plays the character of a love-struck teacher and initially, the director Ghosh was hesitant because he was not confident of Jaideep giving a nod to such a character.

Narrating her experience of working for Jaane Jaan, Kareena Kapoor Khan during one of her press meetings said that her husband Saif Ali Khan asked her to be on her toes for this movie as both Jaideep and Vijay Varma are accomplished actors and they will be improvising their scenes. Adapted from the book “Devotion of the Suspect X” the movie will hit Netflix on September 21.
