The trailer of Kapil Sharma and Shahana Goswami's movie Zwigato, which throws light on the struggle of food delivery boys who every day run the race for a few bucks of incentive, has been released. The premiere of the trailer recently took place at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Known for his special comic timing, Kapil earlier tried his fate in the movies and even did two Bollywood films. However, those films failed to make an impact thereby putting a brake on the film career of Kapil Sharma.
And now he is back with a very good topic which is way different from his earlier films that mostly showcased his comic timing. In Zwigato, helmed by Nandita Das, Kapil plays the very serious character of a delivery boy who earlier used to work as a floor manager and had a stable life.
However, during the Corona pandemic, he loses his job and circumstances force him to take up the job of a food delivery boy. The trailer shows Kapil delivering pizza boxes at a high-end apartment and is upset about getting a memo that delivery boys are not allowed to use lifts. He instead has to use the stairs to deliver the stack of pizzas only to find a lonely drunk man taking the delivery.
Apart from being a food delivery man, the character of Kapil also has other dimensions like he is also a family man, a father of a son and a daughter and aims to stay positive despite his son making a snarky comment at the start of the day. The couple is also going through a troubled period as Kapil and his wife are struggling to find some moments alone.
Zwigato grabbed the headlines a few months ago when Kapil Sharma was spotted in Bhubaneshwar riding the bike, dressed as a delivery boy. The movie has been extensively shot and set in Bhubaneswar- the Capital city of Odisha.
