Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover's fallout is old news. After facing a short debacle, Kapil is now back with a team of new actors and The Kapil Sharma Show is doing remarkably well. Even the new actors Bharti Singh, Krushna Abhishek have made a good impact on the minds of the audience. Still, fans want Sunil Grover back.
A few days ago when Sunil shared a post on Instagram, his followers remembered Mashoor Gulati and Gutthi, the popular characters he played on the comedy show. But their reunion on The Kapil Sharma Show does not seem possible.
Sunil Grover is Doing Well as an Actor
As is known, after his famous stint in comedy, Kapil did try his hand at doing movies but was a failure. Sunil on the other hand has slowly and steadily been successful in carving his place as an actor in the entertainment industry. Be it his strong role in Saif Ali Khan-led Tandav or the character of Sonu in the OTT release Sunflower, Sunil seems to have a lot of options open for him which can offer him better growth as an actor.
With versatile roles coming his way, it does not seem likely that Sunil would like to be a part of a comedy show.
Kapil’s Show Do Not Have Scope for Sunil’s Characters
While Sunil played female characters like Gutthi and Rinku Bhabhi with aplomb earlier, Krushna Abhishek’s Sapna has now become the mainstay of The Kapil Sharma Show. He along with Kiku Sharda portrays various characters that have now become very popular and their acts cover most parts of the show. Welcoming Sunil once again on board of TKSS will disturb the current format.
And more importantly, it would be difficult to fit Sunil’s characters in the given limited time.
Sunil is Good Friends with Kapil’s Ex
Kapil and producer Preeti Simoes were in a relationship for a long time. The famous standup had a bitter fallout with Preeti during the time his show “Comedy Nights With Kapil” was also going downhill. Ever since then Kapil has cut off all his ties with Preeti.
On the other hand, Sunil has a good relationship with Preeti and the latter considers him to be her sibling. She even roped in Sunil as the lead comedian in Gangs of Filmistan after both of them left Kapil’s show.
So to sum up it all, Sunil and Kapil’s reunion on The Kapil Sharma Show seems impossible at present. Nevertheless, there is always a chance that they might share the stage or screen for a different project altogether.
