Recently, his co-star and veteran actor Shabana Azmi lauded Big B for his path-breaking contributions to the industry and clearing the field for senior actors.
In the past few years, Shabana Azmi has been actively working in the industry and winning the hearts of moviegoers with her diverse characters. Be it Jamini Chatterjee in 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani', Anina's grandmother in 'Ghoomer', or Satya Maasi in Kaali Khuhi, the veteran actress pulled off her character, striking a chord with the audience. Recently, she graced The Invincibles Season 2 stage where she spoke about the diverse works she is being offered at this age. The veteran actress credited Amitabh Bachchan for his path-breaking contributions to the industry.
When asked by host Arbaaz Khan, if she thinks of playing the second innings of her career, Shabana agreed and said, "I will die in my working boots. Whether anybody gives me work or not I don't know, but I will be an actor till I pass away."
Further, she added, "I realise that the thing I like doing the most is acting. For that reason, another level of energy is formed."
Furthermore, she told the show's host Arbaaz that she has embraced her age and she considers herself lucky.
Shabana said, "I really think it's got a lot to do with Amitabh Bachchan. Because Amitabh Bachchan has cleared the field for senior actors."
