Junaid Khan 'was dropped from' Laal Singh Chaddha and Laapataa Ladies?
Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan's son Junaid Khan, is in the headlines for his upcoming Loveyapa with Khushi Kapoor. While veteran actress Asha Parekh, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and several others have sent good wishes to Junaid for his upcoming project, the young actor has already made a mark in the industry with his stellar performance in his debut flick Maharaj. Well, did you know that Junaid was supposed to feature in Laal Singh Chaddha and Laapataa Ladies?
Recently, Junaid spilt the beans on losing the opportunity to work in the movies produced by his father's home production.
During his recent conversation with Vickey Lalwani on his YouTube channel, Junaid revealed that he was possibly supposed to be a part of Laal Singh Chaddha and Laapataa Ladies.
Junaid recalled the test for a role in Aamir Khan-led Laal Singh Chaddha with Kiran Rao, who was to play his mother in the film. Junaid revealed that he had shot 7 to 8 scenes for four days, and the footage was around 20 minutes long.
Junaid said, "It was a test for me also. Papa wanted to see how Advait would deal with the material. So, it was kind of a deal for both of us. Ultimately, it didn’t work out, largely due to budgetary reasons. It was a very expensive film to put a new person in.”
Further, speaking about Laapataa Ladies, Junaid revealed that he gave tests for the lead role. But, eventually, Kiran chose Sparsh Shrivastava as she thought he (Sparsh) would be suited for the part.
Furthermore, he revealed his relationship with Kiran despite not being cast in either movie.
"Our equation is very good. She is a very fun and warm person, and we get along great,” he added.
