The box office rampage of HanuMan, starring Teja Sajja in the lead, left many stunned. Helmed by Prasanth Varma, HanuMan scripted box office records and movie lovers across the country showered praises on the movie as it performed beyond expectations even without any association of big names or a popular star cast. Now, all eyes are on the sequel Jai Hanuman. While fans are anticipating updates on the movie, recently producer Chaitanya Reddy added fuel to everyone's excitement with a 'BIG update' on Lord Hanuman.

Fans are well aware that the role of Lord Hanuman was envisioned for Tollywood Megastar Chiranjeevi. Varma himself had revealed the same and is
optimistic about the possibility of Chiranjeevi taking up the role.

Reportedly, expressing his desire, Varma said that he wants Megastar Chiranjeevi and Superstar Mahesh Babu to essay the roles of Lord Hanuman and Lord Ram, respectively. While rumours were abuzz that Lord Hanuman's face would be animated with a close resemblance to Chiranjeevi, some even claimed that Lord Hanuman's eyes are the same as Chiranjeevi in HanuMan.

Now, producer Chaitanya Reddy, expressing his thoughts, suggested another big name for essaying Lord Hanuman's character in Jai Hanuman.

As per a report by Cinejosh, during a recent interview, Reddy said, "I personally feel Ram Charan would be perfect for the role of Hanuman. Megastar Chiranjeevi would also be a fantastic choice. Both would be amazing. Ultimately, it's up to Hanuman to decide who will play him in the film. We'll leave it to him."

Well, Tollywood's Mega Powerstar Ram Charan wooed fans with his stellar performance in SS Rajamouli's RRR, which broke several box office records. Undoubtedly, fans would love to see Ram as Lord Hanuman in the sequel. Fans are hopeful that the makers will soon drop a major update on Jai Hanuman.

Notably, Prasanth Varma’s first instalment of his superhero cinematic universe HanuMan, starring Teja Sajja, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Amritha Aiyer, and Vinay Rai in the lead, grossed over Rs 350 crore (US$42 million) worldwide, making it the second highest-grossing Indian film of 2024. While fans assumed that Jai Hanuman would be an immediate sequel to HanuMan, Varma proceeded with Ranveer Singh for Rakshas. However, Varma and Singh parted ways on the project due to creative differences and the movie was shelved. While there is no recent update on Rakshas as well as Jai Hanuman, fans are anticipating an official update on the second instalment of Varma's cinematic universe.
