Tollywood's first superhero movie 'HanuMan ' continues to shatter its own records with a successful 23-day run. The action drama helmed by Prasanth Varma has grossed Rs 290 crore worldwide. Undeniably, actor Teja Sajja, director Varma, and the entire team of HanuMan are basking in the unexpected success of the movie.
Meanwhile, all eyes are now on Varma's cinematic universe and the second installment of the franchise, Jai Hanuman.
Fans are well aware that the sequel's plot is centered on Lord Hanuman. Moreover, reports claimed that Varma confirmed that he has plans to rope in an A-listed Bollywood actor as the lead in Jai Hanuman and also to include big actors from different industries. The helmer aims to make his cinematic universe pan-India appealing for which he decided to proceed with his mega plans.

While HanuMan is successfully running in the theatres, fans are anticipating more updates on Jai Hanuman.
Meanwhile, a recent report claimed that Varma desires to rope in Megastar Chiranjeevi and Superstar Mahesh Babu in prime roles for the sequel. As per the claims, Varma expressed that he wants Chiranjeevi and Mahesh Babu to essay the roles of Lord Hanuman and Lord Ram, respectively.
A report in Cinejosh claims that Varma made the revelations during an interview. As per the reports, Varma said that his team had created edits envisioning the two actors in the divine characters.
Despite the busy schedule of the Acharya actor, Varma remains optimistic about the possibility of Chiranjeevi taking up the role.
Varma was quoted as saying, "We know that Chiranjeevi Garu has a lot on his plate. Nevertheless, we expect to meet him whenever it suits him."
Earlier, rumours were abuzz that Lord Hanuman's face would be animated with a close resemblance to Chiranjeevi. Even some claim that Lord Hanuman's eyes are the same as the actor in HanuMan.
