The latest season of Indian Idol has been embroiling in various controversies and hitting the headlines for all the wrong reasons. One of the biggest talking points of the show is the love angle between Idol Pawandeep Rajan and Arunita Kanjilal. Many slammed the makers for cooking up a fake angle to gain high TRPs. Recently, host Aditya Narayan reacted to the controversy and admitted that the love angle is indeed fake.
In a recent interview, when asked about the bond between Pawandeep Rajan and Arunita Kanjilal, Aditya revealed that it was an angle introduced by the makers and they never denied doing it. He shared that it is a strategy to keep the episodes going for 90 minutes. He added that it is all in good humour and to keep the audience entertained. Eventually, he added that who knows that if Pawandeep and Arunita might feel a spark and if not they can move on.
Addressing the controversy over the Kishore Kumar episode, Aditya said Amit Kumar should have been vocal about his complaints and the team would have accommodated his inputs. He said "Amitji has graced the show on multiple occasions and has always praised our contestants as well as our team. This time also he was lavish in his praise. If he wasn’t happy with certain aspects of the show he could have just told us during the shoot and we would have been more than happy to try and accommodate his inputs.”
