With a week left for the Indian Idol 12 finale, the makers are leaving no stone unturned to make the show a grand success. The finale episode titled ‘The Greatest Grand Finale Ever’, will air from noon till midnight on August 15. This will be the first time in Indian television history that a show will run for 12 hours.

Contestants Pawandeep Rajan, Nihal Tauro, Arunita Kanjilal, Shanmukhapriya, Sayli Kamble and Mohd Danish are now fighting for the coveted Indian Idol trophy.

Recently, Sony TV made an official announcement on its social media page with a video that featured the top six finalists with the caption: "Iss aakhri jung mein aakhir kaun le jayega #IndianIdol ka khitaab? Dekhna mat bhooliyega #IndianIdol2020 ka 12 ghante ka mega finale, #TheGreatestGrandFinaleEver, 15th August ko dopahar 12 baje se raat 12 baje tak, sirf Sony par!."

Even as the show is nearing its end, the controversy surrounding the show is yet to die down. While Judge Anu Mallick is getting brutally trolled for copying Israel's national anthem and composing Diljale movie's track ‘Mera Mulk Mera Desh’, the contestants are also facing merciless trolling.

However, all the top 6 contestants have impressed the audience and judges with their high octane performances. While each of the finalist has his/her unique qualities, it seems Pawandeep Rajan has managed to win the hearts of the audience with his soulful voice and charming personality. He seems to be trending on social media with fans supporting him wholeheartedly.

Recently, entertainment portal Bollywood Life conducted a poll in which it had asked the netizens if they believe
Pawandeep can walk away with the trophy and the cash prize? Surprisingly, 82% of the fans felt that Pawandeep will win Indian Idol 12.

So, it will be interesting to see if this poll result will reflect in the show's finale and Pawandeep will emerge as the winner.

Meanwhile, it is being speculated that Siddharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani may join the finale to promote their upcoming film Shershaah.
