All the eyes of music lovers in India are currently on the final episode of Indian Idol 12 which will air for 12 hours nonstop on 15th August. As the finale is scheduled on India’s Independence Day, the top 6 contestants are expected to sing a few patriotic numbers along with the past contestants who were a part of the show.

Now, the latest update says that Bollywood stars Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra will be joining the show for some time and will promote their upcoming movie Shershaah on Indian Idol 12’s final episode. Since Shershaah is based on the life of Captain Vikram Batra, the contestants are expected to sing a few songs from this movie as well to mark the patriotic theme of the day and the movie.

The Greatest Grand Finale ever will air from noon to midnight on August 15. The director of the show Neeraj Sharma revealed to Indian Express recently that they have big plans for this final episode which is all set to create a history.

Sharma said that they wanted to organize the final episode in a big stadium as is the usual practice but had to restrict it to indoor shooting due to the Corona pandemic. According to Sharma, this season has received so much love that it would have been a sold-out show had they organized it in a stadium.

Since the makers cannot organize it in the open, they have thus tried to make it special by making it a 12-hour episode. Nevertheless, it is a big task and that is why the makers are planning to shoot some part of the show beforehand while the winner will be announced at midnight.

Apart from Kiara and Sidharth, the producers are expecting some other special guests to join the Indian Idol 12 finale episode. They have also invited a few Army personnel who will shoot with the contestants and the judges.
