A doppelganger of Amitabh Bachchan

At the start of his career when he was auditioning for movies, many casting directors and producers were stunned at his resemblance with Amitabh Bachchan . His facial structures are such that with a little touchup, he can be made to look like Big B and hence for a long time, he was called the doppelganger of the Bollywood’s Shahenshah.

Sonu Sood was the Punjab State icon

The Election Commission of Punjab appointed Sonu Sood as the State Icon of their state. In his tweet, the Chief Electoral Officer, of Punjab tweeted that they chose a real hero as the state icon for Punjab. One of the reasons why he was chosen is because he comes from Moga, which is a city in Punjab. But later on, the appointment was withdrawn.

Sonu Sood is an engineer

Bollywood and education do not always go hand in hand. If there are the likes of Ranbir Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor who are not even graduates, there are a few others like Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon who are engineers Similarly, Sonu Sood is an electronics engineer, who completed his degree from Nagpur.

Made debut in movies with Tamil film

Sonu made his debut in movies with a Tamil movie titled Kallazhagar released in 1999. His first debut role in Bollywood was as Bhagat Singh in the movie Shaheed-E-Azam released in 2002.

Sonu has worked in Chinese movie

Apart from Bollywood and Tollywood, the actor also has worked in a Chinese movie titled Xuanzang in which he has portrayed the character of King Harshavardhan.
