The Hindi movie Manzil, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Moushumi Chatterjee, performed average at the box office. However, the 1979’s flick is still remembered for its chartbuster ‘Rimjhim Gire Sawan’. The song composed by RD Burman and dubbed by Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar, featuring Amitabh and Moushumi enjoying Mumbai rain, still remains close to the hearts of all.

The song still remains a cult classic till date and with the prevailing monsoon conditions across the country, music lovers certainly must be playing the song on a loop.

However, an elderly couple has taken a few steps ahead and recreated the song while enjoying rainfall in Mumbai.

In the video, the couple can be seen re-enacting the popular song at the very same locations in Mumbai where Amitabh and Moushumi shot different scenes of the song.

Moreover, the couple is also seen wearing attires similar to the actors. The couple left no stone unturned in matching the gestures and expressions of the actors too.

The video has gone viral on social media and has immensely impressed netizens along with Indian billionaire businessman and the chairman of Mahindra Group, Anand Mahindra.

Mahindra captioned the video: This is justifiably going viral. An elderly couple re-enact the popular song 'Rimjhim gire sawan' at the very same locations in Mumbai as in the original film. I applaud them. They’re telling us that if you unleash your imagination, you can make life as beautiful as you want it to be…! (sic)

On the other hand, netizens have showered love and appreciation for the elderly couple for their lively performance on the evergreen song. The comments section is flooded with red heart emojis and notes of appreciation.
