The career did take off nicely as she debuted in Bollywood with Luck in 2009.

After winning a few awards in the south and even at a few international award functions, the career of Shruti Haasan went haywire a bit. Rather it did not reach the pinnacles as expected with Shruti turning to professional singing mid-way. She was quoted saying, “Yeah, I was a big-time whiskey lover. I have taken a break and decided to stop everything. This is a new change for me." Over the years things and priorities have changed for her with health definitely taking the first spot on her priority list.

Speaking on the same, the Gabbar is Back actress said, “Actually, I was unwell and I did not tell anybody. I thought it is personal and I did not share my illness with outsiders or friends. I underwent a medical condition and was trying to heal myself."

Linked with multiple people

From the Rang De Basanti actor Sidharth to Ranbir Kapoor and Naga Chaitanya Shruti’s name has been linked to multiple actors from both Bollywood and South Indian cinema. However, she has always rubbished most of the rumours albeit her linkup with Sidharth was real.
