News Highlights

  • Shah Rukh Khan is the hot favourite to deliver another big hit of his career with Dunki.
  • Prabhas and Prashanth Neel's combination is also expected to come out with a big blockbuster.

Dunki and Salaar: Part 1- Ceasefire is releasing with a gap of just one day. While Dunki will start running in theatres worldwide on December 21, Salaar will be released on December 22. Debates and discussions have been going on ever since the release dates of these two movies have been announced with many fans requesting the makers to avoid the clash.

However now that the movies are releasing as planned and their booking has also opened across the globe, some surprising results are coming to the fore. Undoubtedly, Shah Rukh Khan is the hot favourite to deliver another big hit of his career with Dunki, and his movie will get a good response from Bollywood fans. Similarly, Prabhas has an immense following in the South and the movie is going to be a big hit in Tollywood as it is directed by KGF fame Prashanth Neel.

But what about the overseas booking? SRK is known to have a cult following in the US and UK. But the result of the bookings overseas is showing an entirely new picture which is quite surprising.

Salaar leads in the US, UK

The bookings for Salaar have shown tremendous growth in the US and UK with the current figures standing at $750K and £120K respectively. On the other hand, Dunki has bookings of $185K and £70K for the US and UK respectively. The trend continues in Australia and New Zealand with Salaar leading with A$130K booking whereas Dunki has A$120K.

But in the Gulf, Europe, and the Rest of the World, Salaar seems to be lagging behind Dunki but the difference is not huge. Fans of Prabhas are extremely happy that the movie of their Darling is receiving such a good response in America and the UK. However, SRK fans are arguing that the bookings for Salaar have been going on for the last month whereas Dunki’s bookings opened only three days back and that the movie of the Pathaan actor will swiftly surpass Salaar in the days to come.
