Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif and Kareena Kapoor Khan are undoubtedly the topmost actresses of Bollywood today. Naturally, they are being paid huge remuneration by the producers. So, how much do Aaloo and Deeps charge per movie project?
According to a report, the Bajirao Mastani actress charged Rs15 Crore for Pathan and Gehraiyaan. She also got a chunk of profit from Gehraiyaan and this will be the case with most of the projects in which she will play the lead.
Deepika Padukone turned producer with Chhapaak and is also co-producing most of her movies. It seems Alia Bhatt has also taken a cue from her as she is co-producing Darlings with Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. The actress reportedly earned Rs 15 Crore for Darlings but cut down the fee for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi and Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
Katrina Kaif is also a big star and her last release Sooryavanshi was a blockbuster. The beautiful actress charges Rs 12 Crore per movie and is a hot favourite with the majority of directors. Kareena Kapoor Khan also charges Rs 12 Crore per movie and her charges have increased post-giving big hits like Veere Di Wedding and Good Newwz.
Other actresses who take home a decent sum for their movies include Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Anushka Sharma (Rs. 8 Crore), Shraddha Kapoor (Rs 7 Crore), Taapsee Pannu (Rs 5 Crore), Vidya Balan and Kriti Sanon (Rs 4 Crore), Kiara Advani and Jacqueline Fernandez (Rs 2.5 Crore), Disha Patani, Sara Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor (Rs 2 Crore) and Ananya Panday (Rs 1.5 Crore).
However, one name which is almost never included in this list by Bollywood magazines is that of Kangana Ranaut. Reportedly she was paid Rs 24 Crore for Thalaivi, a biopic on the life of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha released in Hindi and Tamil. If these reports are true, the Queen actress is definitely the highest-paid actress in Bollywood to date.
