Legendary Odia actor Uttam Mohanty has passed away, leaving a deep void in the Odia film industry. He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a Gurgaon hospital, as fans, family, and the entire Odia cinema fraternity mourn his loss.

With a career spanning decades, Mohanty starred in over 135 films across Odia, Bengali, and Hindi cinema, along with notable TV serials. He was the only Odia actor to win the Best Actor Award for three consecutive years (1982-84) and received the prestigious Jayadev Award in 1999 for his immense contribution to cinema.
