'Copycat Sabyasachi'-Netizens dig out pictures of Kats, Deeps, Shraddha in dresses similar to Alia Bhatt's Met Gala 2024

Alia Bhatt's garden-themed saree at the Met Gala 2024 was one of the most visible outfits this year. Designed by famous Indian designer Sabyasachi many believe that the actress got an invitation to the event because Sabyasachi Mukherjee is part of the institution community that hosts Met Gala.

But even though he is such a huge name in the world of fashion designing, especially when it comes to designing sarees, netizens have trolled him for copying the saree design from others as the saree that Alia Bhatt wore at the Met Gala 2024 seems to be copied or at least inspired from what big Bollywood names like Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif and Shraddha Kapoor wore earlier.

Netizens have come up with pictures in which Deepika, Katrina, and Shraddha can be seen wearing sarees/dresses with almost the same style and design albeit with some different shades. Granted that the theme for this year was Garden of The Time, but there were many other options that he could have tried. The web users believe that Sabyasachi failed to create something different and novel.

Nonetheless, Alia Bhatt has often been criticised for copying or following the style and dresses of Deepika Padukone, and this time too it seems she has almost done the same.
