Ending all speculations, Kannada Film Industry (KFI)'s Rocking Star Yash has finally collaborated with the most anticipated movie, Ramayana, as a producer. Moreover, he will be also playing one of the main actors alongside Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Sunny Deol, among others.

Earlier, various reports claimed that Yash has been locked to play the role of Demon King Ravana in Nitesh Tiwari's cinematic adaptation of the Indian Epic. However, recent rumours claimed that Yash backed out from the project as an actor and won't play the pivotal character in Ramayana. Moreover, reports were also abuzz that KGF's Rocky Bhai will collaborate with the Ramayana team as a producer.

Now, it has been confirmed that Yash joined hands with Namit Malhotra as producer. Yash's production banner 'Monster Mind Creations' in association with Namit Malhotra's banner 'Prime Focus' will produce the epic saga. Besides that, it is also confirmed that he will be playing one of the main characters in the planned trilogy. Though his character in Ramayana is yet to be confirmed officially, the latest developments have streamed excitement among all. 

Cine critic Taran Adarsh took to social media and confirmed the latest developments in his post on X (formerly Twitter).

Sharing a picture of Yash with Namit Malhotra, Taran Adarsh wrote, "BIGGG DEVELOPMENT… YASH JOINS HANDS WITH NAMIT MALHOTRA TO PRODUCE ‘RAMAYANA’… This is a groundbreaking collaboration… #NamitMalhotra [Prime Focus] and actor #Yash [Monster Mind Creations] have joined forces to produce the epic saga #Ramayana for #Indian and global audiences." (sic)

Further, his post read, "#Yash becomes a producer on this massive project, besides being one of the main actors." (sic)

Yash's Vision Behind Co-Producing Ramayana

Well, now that it is confirmed that Yash collaborated with Namit, fans can expect a guaranteed visual spectacle. However, fans are wondering how and why Yash agreed to co-produce Nitesh Tiwari's project even though speculations have been rife since a few days ago about the Kannada star joining the forces as co-producer. Yash himself revealed the reason behind such a big step.

According to a report in India Today, Yash admitted that it has been his long-term aspiration to make films that will showcase Indian cinema on a global level.

Further, KGF's Rocky Bhai mentioned that he and Namit had various ideation sessions, and their synergy on the vision for Indian cinema aligned perfectly.

Yash was quoted as saying, "We brainstormed various projects, and during these discussions, the subject of 'Ramayana' came up. Namit had a part of it in the works. 'Ramayana', as a subject, deeply resonates with me and I had an approach in my mind for it. By joining forces to co-produce 'Ramayana' we are bringing together our collective vision and experience to create an Indian film that will ignite excitement and passion in audiences across the world.”

Talking about the Indian Epic Ramayana, the KGF star said, "Ramayana is woven into the fabric of our lives. We believe we know it well, yet each encounter unveils fresh wisdom, ignites new knowledge, and offers unique perspectives."

Further, he shared his vision about the cinematic adaptation and said, that they want to translate the timeless epic into the silver screen in a grand spectacle. But, it will be an honest and faithful portrayal of the story.

"This is a journey to share the Ramayana with the world, a testament to our commitment to creative exploration, bold visions, and honest storytelling," he concluded.
