Boycott ka darr or real faith? Aamir Khan brutally trolled for his double standard

Aamir Khan performed Kalash Puja at his new office very recently. The pictures showing the Dangal actor in denim and blue sweatshirt doing the pooja with ex-wife Kiran Rao joining him for aarti were shared by Advait Chandan, the director of Laal Singh Chaddha. The pictures also include a few staff members who were present during the pooja.

No sooner did the pictures surface online, social media users started trolling the Bollywood superstar who has made some anti-Hindu remarks in his hit movies like PK and 3 Idiots.

That was also one of the reasons why his last release Laal Singh Chaddha was trolled badly and boycotted by social media users. Despite getting good critical reviews, this remake of the Hollywood classic Forrest Gump failed badly at the box office. Both as a producer and an actor Aamir was highly disappointed and decided to take a break from acting and only focus on production.

Social media users were surprised when the pictures of Aamir Khan doing puja wearing the traditional Maharashtrian topi, uparna and even the holy threads tied to his wrist started circulating on the web. Most of the users said that it is all because of the fear of boycotting and not his real faith. In both of his, Rajkumar Hirani directed movies Aamir has made remarks that Hindu traditions like doing Abhishek of Lord Shiva with milk or doing pooja are all nonsense.

From calling the superstar a dramebaaz and hypocrite to a few speculating whether Aamir has converted from Islam to Hindu, lots of comments, speculations, and even memes started dropping on Twitter and Instagram.

Nevertheless, there were a few staunch Aamir supporters who said that what the actor said in the movies was said by the character and it does not mean that Aamir believes in them all. While the pictures have already stormed the internet, no one knows why the Lagaan producer and actor had this pooja in his office.
