Big names from Tollywood and Bollywood are collaborating to capture the attention of the audience and woo them to the theaters.
Salman Khan, Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan
The crossovers of actors and directors from Bollywood to Tollywood and vice versa have now become quite common. Even earlier actors like Jeetendra or Mithun Chakraborty or producers like Boney Kapoor worked in both Southern and Bollywood industries but lately, most of the A-listed stars from Tollywood as well as B-town are seen working and mingling with each other.
While until very recently it was always South movies and Hindi cinema, the celebs are now saying that it is Indian cinema which certainly is a good thing. But it is more because the Southern biggies are currently dominating the Bollywood market whereas the Tollywood production houses and stars now want to expand their reach and market.
Prabhas, Prashanth Neel, Big B, and Nag Ashwin in one frame
Recently the team of Prabhas, Prashanth Neel, Amitabh Bachchan, and Nag Ashwin came together for the opening of a new office in Gacchi Bowli, Hyderabad. The click also included Dulquer Salman, Raghavendra Rao, and Nani. While Big B is working with Nag Ashwin and Prabhas for the upcoming movie Project K, the latter is also working with KGF fame director Prashanth Neel for his next movie Salaar. So it was the Baahubali star that got both Big B and Neel in one frame.

Similarly, other big stars from South and Bollywood who were clicked together were Salman Khan, Ram Charan, and Venkatesh. Pooja Hegde was also part of this click and it is said that Ram Charan will be playing a cameo in the upcoming movie of Salman Khan-Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali which also stars Pooja as the female lead.

These associations are purely commercial. While Prabhas wants big Bollywood names like Deepika Padukone and Big B in his movie so that the film has an Indian appeal. Similarly, Bollywood superstars want cameos or the inclusion of Southern stars to woo the audience down South.
