Once again Tollywood seems to be overpowering Bollywood. Kamal Haasan’s Vikram and Akshay Kumar’s big-budget movies Samrat Prithviraj were released this Friday and the statistics show that Vikram is much ahead of the YRF movie when it comes to box-office collection, acting, and presentation. The Chachi 420 actor is returning to the big screen after a long time and it is understandable that his Southern fans are flocking to theaters to watch their favourite star perform on the screen. But Samrat Prithviraj might not be able to fulfill the same expectations for the Khiladi Kumar as the movie collected only 10 crores on the first day and during the weekend is expected to reach 30 crores.
On the other hand, Vikram has already reached the 50 crores collection mark which is a big thing considering Kamal has been out of the mainstream cinema for such a long time.
Prabhas Pens Note for Prashanth Neel
Prashanth Neel and Prabhas have teamed up for Salaar which also stars Shruti Haasan. Interestingly there were rumours a few days ago that the KGF director is not happy with the weight of the Baahubali star and has asked him to lose weight and till then he has kept the shooting for Salaar on hold. Yesterday on Prashanth’s birthday, Prabhas penned a beautiful note indicating that all is well between the director and the actor.

Adivi Sesh’s Major based on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan has received a very good response with fans and critics appreciating both Adivi and Saiee Manjrekar’s performances in the movie. Tollywood superstar Allu Arjun also showered praise on Adivi Sesh and Major movie calling the flick heart touching and the work of Adivi as the Major excellent.
Pooja Hegde Starts Training for Jana Gana Mana
Pooja Hegde has signed a high-action thriller with Vijay Deverakonda in which she will be doing some stunning action scenes. The actress created a buzz by kicking off the shoot of Jana Gana Mana with her training for the high combat for which special masters from Thailand have been hired. Until now, Pooja has mostly done simple, romantic roles. But this movie might prove to be a game-changer for Indian beauty.
