Janhvi Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Sara Ali Khan, and Ishaan Khatter started careers at almost the same time. Despite being exposed to a lot of boycott trends and criticism and also delivering back-to-back flops, these star kids have been earning quite well.
Not only have they amassed a decent amount of fortune to their name but they are also being paid a big amount for movies and endorsements which indicates that the social media backlash or nepotism has failed to make an impact on their journey.

Janhvi comes with a big legacy of Sridevi and Boney Kapoor whereas Ishaan is the brother of Bollywood superstar Shahid Kapoor and son of television actors Neelima Azeem and Rajesh Khatter. So both of them belonged to the inner circle of Bollywood and hence, were introduced by Karan Johar in Dhadaak. Though Ishaan’s first movie was Beyond the Clouds, Dhadaak was sort of his first commercial movie.
The movie was a remake of the Marathi blockbuster Sairat. While Dhadaak could not match the success level of the original film, Janvhi got a couple of projects majority of which were from Karan Johar’s production house while Ishaan has done a few movies but is still struggling to get a big commercial break. Despite not having a big hit to her credit today Janhvi is paid anywhere between 4 to 6 crores per movie and around Rs 60 lakhs for each endorsement.
Ishaan on the other hand is yet to reach that multi-crore payment package and gets anywhere near Rs 80 to 90 lakhs per movie.
Sara Ali Khan
After debuting in Kedarnath with Sushant Singh Rajput which did not do well at the box office, Sara worked in many movies including Simmba with Ranveer Singh, Love Aaj Kaal with Kartik Aaryan, and OTT releases like Atrangi Re with Akshay Kumar and Dhanush and Coolie No. 1 with Varun Dhawan. This daughter of Amrita Singh and Saif Ali Khan earns Rs 5 to 7 crores per movie and her net worth is around 40 to 50 crores.

Ananya Panday’s close association with the family of Shah Rukh Khan and his kids is quite well known. And hence, it was not surprising when she debuted in Bollywood with Student of the Year 2. However, the movie was a big flop. Her last film Liger also was a big dud. Thanks to her sizzling photos on Instagram, glamourous red carpet appearances, and connection with Karan Johar and his group Ananya continues to get movies and currently is paid around Rs 3 to 4 crores per movie.
Ahan and Athiya Shetty
Both these children of Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty got entry into the film industry without much struggle. However, the siblings are yet to find a foothold and attract good projects from big banners. As of now Ahan and Athiya are paid Rs 70 to 80 lakhs per movie.
While getting an introduction to the film industry is quite easy for the star kids, establishing a good name and attracting big projects is all about talent, hard work, and to some extent luck. Moreover, there is a growing competition among them as new star kids keep on making an entry.
Suhana Khan, Shanaya Kapoor, Agastya Nanda, Ibrahim Ali Khan, Khushi Kapoor, and many more star kids are all gearing up to make an entry making the competition stiffer.
