Asur 3: Arshad Warsi, Barun Sobti's much awaited series gets renewal, check details

Asur starring Arshad Warsi and Barun Sobti in the lead has been one of the biggest hits on OTT. The first two parts of this web series have been fantastic and fans have been eagerly waiting for the makers to announce the third part. It has been two years since the second part was released and since then there has not been much update regarding Asur 3. It should be noted that Asur 2 was one of the most-watched web series of 2023 indicating how much it was loved by the Indian OTT viewers.

The good news is that Jio Hotstar will soon make announcement related to Asur 3. There are reports currently floating on the web that the OTT channel has renewed Asur for the third season and will soon make the Asur 3 release date official.

Arshad Warsi and Barun Sobti to return as forensic experts in Asur 3

The lead stars Arshad Warsi and Barun Sobti will return as forensic experts Dhananjay Rajput and Nikhil Nair respectively in Asur 3. The third installment has been scripted by Gaurav Shukla who is the creator as well as the writer of the first two series from the Asur franchise. Reports suggest that makers will start producing Asur 3 by the end of 2025. The series will hit the web sometime in the late of 2026.

The first two parts of the Asur series had a story with a blend of both mythology and psychology creating nail-biting suspense. The story revolved around a serial killer who considers himself the avatar of the demon Kali, which is a mythological character and the forensic experts have a hard time finding him in this cat-and-mouse drama.

It is expected that in Asur 3, the makers aim to escalate the psychological drama further. This latest buzz on Asur 3 getting a nod has made the fans of this series happy who were eagerly waiting for any hint of its renewal. The only major change in the series will be the director as Oni Sen who directed the first two seasons of Asur is busy with another high-voltage Netflix drama and may not be available to direct Asur 3.

Now it needs to be seen who comes on board as director for the third season of this hit franchise.
