Anushka Shetty has been away from the movies for a long time. Post the massive success of Baahubali 2, she had only one release-Nishabhdham in the last few years. However, as the Southern diva turns a year older, the actress has now announced a new movie with UV Creations, her third with the production house.
Taking to her microblogging page, Sweety shared a short clip announcing her new project making her fans happy.
Anushka Shetty Controversies and Linkups
Surprisingly, in a career spanning more than a decade, Anushka was rarely linked with any controversy or scandal which in itself is an accomplishment. However, once comedy actor Ali compared Anushka to Jalebi and also commented on her thunder thighs in Bigil. It created a lot of uproar as all the fan clubs of the beautiful diva slammed Ali for his comments.

Anushka has been linked up with many big stars including Nagarjuna, Gopichand and Prabhas. The Shiva actor launched her in the movies and also worked with her in a few other flicks. According to reports, the Arundhati actress was quite upset when she was linked with Gopichand and she reportedly even fired her driver for spreading such rumours.
Over the years, Anushka Shetty has worked in lots of hit projects, but most of her massive hits have been with the Rebel star Prabhas. Anushka and Prabhas have been rumoured to be having an affair for the last many years but both of them have repeatedly denied the linkup.
Prabhas and Anushka Movies That Broke Box-office Records
The Saaho actor first paired with Anushka in Billa (2009) which was a remake of a Tamil movie with the same name. Interestingly, the Tamil movie was reportedly the remake of the Amitabh Bachchan-led superhit movie Don released in 1978. Billa was a big hit and fans loved the pairing of Prabhas and Sweety.
Their next movie together was Mirchi (2013) which was a big blockbuster and earned a lot of appreciation and awards for the team. It was followed by the two Baahubali movies which created history in Indian cinema and also made its lead stars including Prabhas, Anushka and Rana Daggubati pan India favourites. The second movie from the Baahubali franchise is the biggest all-time Indian hit.
