News Highlights

  • Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna's Pushpa have gone through lots of ups and downs since the announcement.
  • The latest buzz says that the movie makers are planning to skip the Hindi theatrical release.

Pushpa makers are rapidly wrapping up the shooting of the movie so that they can release it on the scheduled date, 17th December this year. Initially, the flick was launched as one of the regular Tollywood big-budget movies. Its audience was limited and so was the story. But later on, Mythri Makers thought that the story has a pan India appeal and hence, all the necessary changes in the technical, as well as the storyline, were made to make it a pan India movie

After shooting a couple of schedules of Pushpa, the team thought that the story is quite vast and interesting and can be divided into two parts. That is when they decided to announce that Pushpa 1 will release first this year with Rashmika as the lead actress while they will introduce a new lead female star for its sequel.

In between, the shooting had to be halted a couple of times because of the Corona lockdown norms and also because its team including the leading actor Allu Arjun got infected with the dangerous virus. The latest buzz says that after reviewing the current updates and scenario, the makers of Pushpa now want to restrict the release only for the Tollywood audience.

The buzz says that they want to skip its Hindi theatrical release. Although no confirmation on the same has been given by the team of Pushpa, it can be a big setback to the plans of Bunny who is interested in expanding his fanbase across India, especially after the way his song Butta Bomma from Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo received a huge response from across the country.

While Allu Arjun may not want to restrict the viewership of his movie only to the Tollywood audience, technical glitches may force him to accept this decision.

At present, the shooting of the last leg of Pushpa: The Rise is going on at a fast pace in Hyderabad.
