Amitabh Bachchan's SIL Nikhil Nanda in big trouble; FIR filed for fraud and abetment to suicide

Nikhil Nanda, the son-in-law of Amitabh Bachchan and husband of the Bollywood superstar’s daughter Shweta has been booked for fraud and abetment to suicide. An FIR has been filed against the chairman and the managing director of Escorts Kubota accusing him and several senior officials of his company of pressurising Jitendra Singh, a tractor dealer to meet excessive sales targets. According to the FIR, this excessive pressure has forced Jitendra Singh to commit suicide.

His brother Gyanendra has filed a complaint against Nikhil Nanda who in his FIR has alleged that Nanda and his team pressurised his brother constantly distressing him and forcing him to commit suicide.

FIR says Nanda and the team threatened Jitendra Singh

The victim Jitendra Singh was a tractor dealer and the operator of Jai Kisan Traders in Dataganj. He worked along with his business partner Lalla Babu. But after Babu was imprisoned due to a family dispute it was left to Jitendra Singh to handle the business alone. According to Gyanendra Singh’s complaint, Nikhil Nanda and his business executives at one point threatened that they would revoke Jitendra Singh’s dealership license.

Moreover, they also threatened him of auctioning his property if Jitendra failed to meet the sales target as per the expectations. A visit was made by a few of the company’s officials on November 21 last year at Jitendra Singh’s office and they had urged him to improve sales. The very next day on November 22 Jitendra took his life.

Nikhil Nanda and his links with Bollywood

The Escorts head is married to Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter Shweta and is also the father of Agastya Nanda who made his debut in the entertainment world with The Archies on OTT last year. That is how he is also related to Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, and  Aishwarya Rai Bachchan from his wife’s side.

From his mother’s side, he is also a part of the Kapoor family as his mother Ritu Nanda was the daughter of famous Bollywood director and actor Raj Kapoor. So he is also the cousin of leading Bollywood stars like Karisma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, and Ranbir Kapoor.
