As Valentine’s Day is coming closer, those young at heart are planning special moments and buying gifts for their sweethearts. Everyone who is in love or wants to find someone to fall in love with is eager for February 14 to come sooner.
Why should it be any different for Bollywood lovers? While most of the A-listed celebrities in the B-town are either in a relationship or happily married, there are a few famous Bollywood bachelors who although linked with many are still single and have been enjoying bachelorhood for long years.
Salman Khan
His name has been linked with many Bollywood actresses including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Katrina Kaif. But until now he has not walked down the aisle and it seems he won’t ever get married. During one of his interviews, he said that he would like to have children but marriage is not something that he will opt for.
The Bollywood superstar said, “I am not interested in getting married or having a girlfriend. I am loving my single status. In 30 years I must have been single. I am loving it. I am absolutely having a blast. You have no idea how I am feeling... Now that I am single. I can do whatever I can. There is no need to give an explanation or lie to anyone. Whoever wants to come (in my life) can come.. but don't expect anything.”
Tabu
The veteran actress shares a good bond with Ajay Devgn and has been linked with South Indian superstar Nagarjuna as well as Sajid Nadiadwala. But she has never confirmed it nor did she marry either of them. Talking about her singlehood, Tabu once said, “I do not think single is a bad word. There may have been a stigma attached to being single in the past, but not anymore. Your happiness comes from many things unconnected with the status of your relationship. On your own, you can deal with your aloneness, but with a wrong partner, what could follow would be worse than any kind of loneliness.”
Akshaye Khanna
Unlike his dad Vinod Khanna who became a big Bollywood superstar, Akshaye could not become such a big star although has done some unforgettable work in Bollywood. Apart from that he has always come across as a loner and aloof person who rarely got linked up with anyone.
Talking about being single, the Drishyam 2 actor during an interview said, “I love the company of someone, but for me, there has to be a cut-off point. I can be in a beautiful, loving and caring relationship, but it can’t be 24×7 and 30 days a month. At the end of the day, I need my time alone. That is something I will never give up and that’s how I want to live my life. It has got nothing to do with being commitment-phobic. I just can’t see how people live without that space. If I do it, it will suffocate me.”
Ameesha Patel
The Kaho Na Pyaar Hai actress has been linked with Vikram Bhatt and many other Bollywood people. But even today she is single. Talking about the same the Gadar 2 actress said, “The only two relationships that I ever had in public, the only two I ever had, they did take a beating on my career. For 12-13 years, I was like, 'No men. Only peace. I want nothing else in my life. Because the single status of a girl is always more attractive to the people that you work around. It's always more attractive for your audiences. And they feel if you're single or you're dating someone in the industry or a superstar, that only benefits your career.”
Even Hollywood stars like Emma Watson and Jennifer Aniston have said that they love being single and are self-partnering themselves. Rather the Friends actress has said that no one needs a mate to feel complete.
