Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 in crisis; Will this affect possibility of Pushpa 3?

Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rule is one of the most awaited movies of this year. The shooting is now on the brink of completion and the makers will soon move on to the post production work. Earlier Bunny had said that he and Sukumar are definitely thinking of Pushpa 3. But now it seems, it can be a far distant possibility as Pushpa 2 does not seem to be attracting the type of moolah from the distributors.

Shocking setback to Pushpa 2?

The social media is abuzz with news that movie-buyers and distributors in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana which are the major Telugu speaking areas are hesitant to invest in the movie. A few users have said that the buyers are not very much keen to acquire the rights for the upcoming sequel because the first movie Pushpa: The Rise faced a world-wide loss of 130 crores.

While in India, the swag of Pushpa , its dialogues and songs became superhit it is unbelievable that the overall commercials could not bring a good profit to the makers and distributors. And that is a news to many as the general opinion among the fans of Alllu Arjun was that Pushpa: The Rise was a big hit and that is why Sukumar and team decided to make a sequel.

Apart from the reported huge loss, rumours are also adrift that the buyers are also concerned about the fact that Allu Arjun has a limited fan following across India. Although his movies like Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo and Pushpa 1 gave him a pan India recognition, he still does not command as much stature or stardom compared to that of Prabhas or Rajinikanth. And that is why he mostly relies on top directors for a superhit.

In contrast to these rumours there have also been reports saying that OTT platforms are very much eager to offer huge amount for Pushpa 2 and there is quite a tussle for the same among the leading OTT platforms. Albeit all these are just rumours and need confirmation one thing is clear that Pushpa 3 will be possible only if Pushpa 2 becomes a big hit.
