  • Akshay Kumar has slammed Richa Chadha for her statement mocking the Indian Army.
  • It brings back memories of when Priyanka Chopra was accused of encouraging the Indo-Pak war.

Richa Chadha’s statement mocking the Indian Army has triggered a heated debate among social media users. Although most Bollywood celebrities are on social media, only Akshay Kumar responded to this tweet and schooled the Fukrey actress about commenting against the Indian Army.

As usual, Akki faced backlash as he holds Canadian citizenship and more often Khiladi Kumar is questioned for his stand on nationalism that he so openly promotes.

These discussions and debates brought back memories of another incident that involved an international Indian celebrity who was accused of triggering the Indo-Pak war. Priyanka Chopra Jonas was accused of encouraging war between India and Pakistan by a Pakistani Indian woman after PeeCee tweeted in favour of the Indian Army, “Jai Hind #IndianArmedForces.”

The incident occurred when the Fashion actress was attending a beauty conference in the US. On the other hand, there was a lot of tension on the India-Pakistan borders. During the Beautycon industry convention when Priyanka Chopra was on the stage answering questions from the audience, Ayesha Malik, a Pakistani-American said that she heard Priyanka talking about humanity. Still, as her neighbour she knew her to be a hypocrite.

The Quantico actress has been the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for more than 5 years. Ayesha said that there is no winner in this because despite being associated with UNICEF Priyanka is encouraging nuclear war against her country. Not to take down these accusations easily on a public platform, the former Miss World said that she has many friends who are Pakistani and she is also not fond of war but she is a patriot and that everyone has to walk a middle ground as everyone does.

She even requested Ayesha Malik not to yell and embarrass herself because everyone was there for love but she appreciated Malik for raising her voice.
