The stupendous success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, starring Kartik Aaryan, Tabu and Kiara Advani, made way for the triquel of the horror-comedy series. While earlier it was announced that Kartik would be playing the lead in the third instalment of Bhool Bhulaiyaa, the Freddy actor on Monday expressed his excitement and announced that Vidya Balan will be a part of the triquel and will reprise her role.
While the announcement has been building excitement among movie lovers, recent reports claim that makers are planning to rope in Madhuri Dixit in a pivotal role in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.

As per a report in MidDay, the Bhool Bhulaiyaa team felt that another spirit would add to the narrative. So, it will be Rooh Baba versus the two ghosts played by Madhuri Dixit and Vidya Balan. By bringing the two leading ladies together for the first time on screen, the makers have played a trump card.
Further, the report also claimed that the makers are considering Sara Ali Khan as the female lead in the flick.
However, a source was quoted as saying that discussions are at a nascent stage and nothing is confirmed yet.
Following the announcement of Vidya joining Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, rumours were abuzz that Akshay Kumar might also be a part of the movie. However, director Anees Bazmee during a recent conversation on Zoom revealed that Akshay will not be a part of the third instalment.
He was quoted as saying, "No, Akshay is not a part of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. I am dying to work with him, but unfortunately, I have not been able to script a film where we could work together. In future, certainly yes."
Notably, if everything falls into place as per plans, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 will go on floors next month.
Undeniably, Dhak Dhak Girl Madhuri Dixit as a ghost alongside Vidya Balan would be a crowd-puller and moviegoers would love to see the duo.
Fans need to wait for an official confirmation regarding the development either from the makers or the actress herself.
