Aamir Khan's action-thriller Ghajini, released in 2008, scripted history by becoming the first ever Indian movie with over Rs 100 crore box office collection. Now, after 16 years, Mr Perfectionist has started brainstorming to develop it into a franchise and looking for a worthy subject for Ghajini 2.
As per an exclusive report by Pinkvilla, Aamir believes that Ghajini has a lot of potential to be developed into a franchise. Meanwhile, he has started discussions with Allu Aravind and Madhu Mantena for Ghajini 2. Mr Perfectionist has asked Allu Aravind, Madhu and the entire team to come up with a worthy subject for Ghajini 2.
The report quoted a close source to the development as saying, "Madhu and his team are brainstorming ideas for Ghajini 2 and will pitch it to Aamir."
The source also said that Aamir is eagerly waiting for the first draft of Ghajini 2. Once the first draft of the Ghajini sequel is locked, the team will move to the next step.
Well, if the reports are anything to go by, Aamir will create history by doing the sequel of the first Rs 100 crore film. However, fans need to wait for an official confirmation from the makers or the actor.
Notably, a recent report by the entertainment portal also stated that Aamir is also in talks with Tamil filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj for a superhero movie. If this happens, Aamir will be seen in never before seen avatar donning a superhero cape. Meanwhile, after the debacle of Laal Singh Chaddha, the PK actor is gearing up for his next Sitaare Zameen Par. The movie also stars Genelia D'Souza in a key role. Furthermore, he also has a comedy caper with Rajkumar Santoshi, tentatively titled Char Din Ki Zindagi. The Dhoom 3 actor has also announced a sequel to the classic comedy flick Andaz Apna Apna.
