Aamir Khan the next 'Indian superhero'! Will Mr Perfectionist be able to captivate audience in new avatar?

The craze for MCU and DC's superheroes is wildly spread across the globe. However, lately Indian Film Industry has launched a few superheroes. Be it Hrithik Roshan's Krrish, Tiger Shroff's Flying Jatt, Ranbir Kapoor's Shiva, Teja Sajja's Hanumanth or the upcoming Shaktimaan movie, India has got its own superheroes. And now another big actor is prepping to don the superhero Cape. It's none other than Bollywood's Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan.

After the debacle of Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir Khan is missing from the big screen. While he is gearing up for Sitaare Zameen Par for 2025, he seems to be lining up a few other movies for the next few years including a comic Caper with Rajkumar Santoshi, tentatively titled Char Din Ki Zindagi.

Aamir Khan: The New Indian Superhero!

As per the latest report by Pinkvilla, Aamir is also in talks with Tamil filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj for an epic big-screen entertainer.

In its exclusive report, the entertainment portal quoted a source as saying, "Lokesh Kanagaraj and Aamir Khan have met multiple times over the last few months, and brainstormed several ideas for their potential collaboration."

The source further informed that both Aamir and Lokesh have given a nod to the idea of a superhero film. Lokesh will soon develop the idea with his team of writers before pitching the first draft to the PK actor.

The source also added that if Aamir likes the script, the superhero movie could go on the floors in 2026.

Notably, Aamir will be seen in a cameo in Lokesh's Coolie, starring Thalaivar Rajinikanth, Tollywood King Nagarjuna Akkineni, Shruti Haasan and Sathyamurthi in key roles. The Dhoom 3 actor will soon be shooting his part for Coolie. While Lokesh designed a very special sequence and the character, Aamir graciously agreed to it.

It would be definitely thrilling to watch Aamir and Rajini sharing screen space in Coolie.

Well, a few Indian superhero movies have emerged as successful. But several others bombed at the box office. Even though Aamir Khan, known as Mr Perfectionist of Bollywood, loves experimenting with his looks for all movies, the audience rejected a few of them, with the latest being Laal Singh Chaddha and Thugs of Hindostan. Even a section of the audience also criticised his character portrayal in Dhoom 3. 

Undeniably, the excitement among moviegoers for Mukesh Khanna's superhero movie Shaktimaan remains high. But, the makers seem to be in a fix to select the actor to portray the superhero character. 

Putting on the superhero cape is not an easy cake for all. The latest update of Aamir and Lokesh's collaboration has triggered a discussion on social media if Aamir will be able to pull the superhero character or not.
