‘Awards don't deserve me'- Amid Ranbir winning big at Filmfare 2024 SRK's rapid-fire on KWK goes viral

Shah Rukh Khan has always been the darling at the awards function. Be it the IIFA, Screen Awards, or the Filmfare Awards, he has hosted them, performed, and even won most of them. However, this time the scenario was completely different. Despite giving three big hits- Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki last year, SRK failed to win the Best Actor Award at Filmfare 2024.

It seemed as if only the movies in which young actors like Ranbir Kapoor, and Vikrant Massey were in the lead won at this year's Filmfare. It can be said that it is a very rare occasion that despite giving such big hits and getting nominated for not just one but two movies, the Badshah failed to win the awards.

Amid all these Filmfare Awards 2024 frenzy Shah Rukh Khan’ s reply during the rapid-fire section on one of the Koffee with Karan episodes has caught the attention of the web users. The interview is from the time when SRK was at the peak of his career and was winning big at all the awards functions.

When Karan Johar asked the Chak De actor, “If one year you did not win an award what will you say.” SRK is known for his quick wit during the rapid-fire and even this time he did not fail to surprise his fans. The King Khan replied, “Like I always say, the awards don’t deserve me.”

In the same interview, when Karan asks him whether he is the best actor in Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan confidently replies, “In the World.” Until a few years ago, he was so used to getting all the awards and attention at Bollywood functions that now he seems to be missing it all.

During his 10-minute speech at the CNN News 18 Awards on January 10 where the Swades actor was honoured with the Indian of the Year Award 2023, SRK did mention the same. He said, “It’s been bloody long years since I have won an award.” Fans of Shah Rukh are pretty much upset with their favourite Bollywood superstar not getting the Filmfare this year and most of them are saying that Filmfare has lost its charm now.
