Life has been a roller coaster ride for Ayushi Pradhan who has cracked the UPSC Civil Services Exams in her second attempt by securing an All India Rank of 334. Pradhan was already in a job in a Tech company. But she decided to take up the Civil Services exam as a challenge.
“I was expecting a good score. But, I am happy to have cracked the Civil Services in my second attempt. I will again appear to improve my rank,” said Pradhan.
According to Pradhan, she was doing a job in a Tech company and it was then she decided to prepare for the Civil Services.
“I thought that my potential is not suited for a monotonous job with a laptop and it was then I decided to explore. I needed challenges and I thought Civil Services was my ultimate goal. I am happy now. I want to become an IAS, which will not be possible with this rank. So I will take the exam again to improve my rank,” said Pradhan.

Ayushi Pradhan’s Preparation
"I used to study for nearly 10 hours a day. All the subjects were new as I came from a different background. I want to bring some changes in society and through civil services, I believe I can do it,” said Pradhan.
Success Mantra
The key is self-confidence and patience as the exam syllabus is lengthy and the overall process is tough due to a one-year cycle including the prelims, mains, and then the interview. However, you can clear the exams with a clear strategy, said Pradhan.
“I had reached the interview in my first attempt. I hoped that I will clear the civil services and it happened on my second attempt,” said Pradhan.
