Odisha Common PG Entrance Test
The online application for Postgraduate (PG) admission will start today, March 10, and will continue until March 28. The Common Application Form (CAF) will be available online at 4 PM today.
The last date for applying is March 28, but applicants can edit their CAF forms from 10 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. on March 29. The Common PG Entrance Test (CPET) will be held from May 4 to 18. Hall tickets/admit cards will be issued on April 28.
Unlike last year, the admission for the 2025-26 academic session will be based on the scores secured in the CPET. This year, the state public universities and colleges offering post-graduate courses have more than 26,000 seats.
“In the current academic session, Phase-I admission will be conducted initially. Based on the availability of seats, the department may consider conducting Phase-II or spot admission for fresh applications,” read the notification of the higher education department.
The Phase-I admission will consist of four rounds of selections. Reservation and weightage will continue for the first and second rounds of selection. In the third round, de-reservation of seats will be carried out in the absence of eligible applicants of a specific category. The fourth round will be the last round for Phase I, which will be the waiting list.
As per reports, the date for publication of CPET results will be notified soon, and the classes for PG students are expected to begin in universities and colleges by July 10.
