The Delhi High Court on Thursday dismissed a petition filed by 15 medical aspirants seeking postponement of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET-UG).

In the petition, the petitioners had sought direction to the Centre, NTA and others to postpone NEET UG 2022 exam which is scheduled to be held on July 17.

Apart from the postponement demand, the petition filed in Delhi HC had also sought an extra attempt at the NEET-UG 2022.

Some students had also earlier submitted a 19-page memorandum to the Ministry of Education citing their issues and demanding immediate postponement of the NEET-UG exam.

A couple of days ago, the National Testing Agency had released the NEET UG admit card stating that the medical entrance examination will be held as per the scheduled.

As per the NTA, the exam will be conducted 'for 1872341 candidates at different centres located in 497 cties throughout the country including 14 cities outside India on 17 July 2022 (Sunday) from 02:00 P.M. to 05:20 P.M. (Indian Standard Time)'.

Students who will qualify in NEET UG will get admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, Bachelor of Ayurveda, BSMS, BHMS, BUMS, and BSc (H) Nursing courses.
