At the age of 23, Manu secured an impressive All India Rank (AIR) 91 in the 2024 UPSC exam, despite losing his eyesight during his school years. Hailing from Jaipur, Rajasthan, Manu's life took a challenging turn when he became visually impaired in Class 8. His father left, and friends drifted away, but his mother remained his steadfast support system.

Without knowledge of Braille, Manu relied on assistive technologies like screen readers and audiobooks to continue his education. He completed his undergraduate studies at Hindu College, Delhi University, and pursued a postgraduate degree at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), where he is currently a Junior Research Fellow.
Manu's mother played a pivotal role in his preparation for the UPSC exam. She read aloud his study materials, prepared notes, and provided constant encouragement. Manu credits his success to her unwavering support, stating, "My mother left no stone unturned so that I could achieve my goal."
His journey was not without setbacks. Manu failed in his first attempt at the UPSC exam but used the experience as a learning opportunity. He remained undeterred, driven by a childhood dream of becoming an IAS officer to serve society and bring about positive change.
