Degree Colleges, Varsities In Odisha To Open From June 1

Bhubaneswar: All Public Universities and Degree Colleges will commence operation from June 1 following completion of summer vacation, informed the State Higher Education Department on Friday.

In a letter to all university Vice Chancellors and Principals of Degree Colleges, the Department wrote, “The summer vacation as declared by this department will come to an end on May 31, 2021. After end of summer vacation, the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) shall resume functioning as per the earlier guidelines.”

Earlier on May 4 the Department had announced summer vacation for all higher educational institutions starting from May 5 to May 31 this year.

The government had allowed the conduct of interview of PhD and other research scholars on scheduled dates during the vacation. However, online classes and examinations were not held during the summer vacation period.
