Summer Vacation For Higher Education Institutes In Odisha From May 5

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Tuesday announced summer vacation for all higher educational institutions starting from May 5 this year.

In a letter to all the Vice Chancellors of all State Public Universities and Principals of all Government and non-government Degree Colleges, the Higher Education Department Secretary Saswat Mishra stated that the the vacation will continue till May 31.

“All Higher Education Institutions, coming under the administrative control of Higher Education Department, shall have summer vacation from 05.05.2021 to 31.05.2021,” the letter read.

The department will put in place the vacation arrangements for the functioning of Institutions during the summer vacation, including the Covid-19 related lockdown/shutdown period falling within the summer vacation, it added.

The government has allowed the conduct of interview of PhD and other research scholars on scheduled dates during the vacation. However, online classes and examinations shall not be held during the summer vacation period, it clarified
