Ahead of the release of the Date Sheet for Term 1 examinations, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday made an important announcement for students of Class 10 and 12.

In a tweet, CBSE urged the students to be alert and stay away from misleading information being circulated on social media. The Board came up with the clarification after a fake Date Sheet regarding the Term 1 exams went viral on social media.
“It has come to the notice of CBSE that a fake date sheet is being circulated on social media for the forthcoming term 1 exams in Nov 2021, to confuse students of class X & XII,” tweeted CBSE.

The CBSE further stated, “It is clarified that the board has not released any official notification in this regard till now.”
Earlier, it was announced that CBSE will conduct the first-term board examinations for classes 10 and 12 in offline mode in November-December. Similarly, the Term 2 paper will be conducted between March-April 2022.

The CBSE board exam will be held in two terms in order to increase the probability of conduct of exams for class 10 and 12 students as the tests could not be held this year owing to Covid-19 pandemic situation.
The results were subsequently announced based on a certain evaluation criteria as per the Supreme Court’s direction.
As per plans, each exam will be conducted for 90 minutes which will begin from 11:30 am instead of 10:30 am keeping in mind the winter season. Meanwhile, all categories of candidates will be given reading time of 20 minutes instead of 15 minutes during these exams.
