The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released an important notice regarding availing exemptions and facilities by Children With Special Needs (CWSN) in the upcoming 2023 board examinations.

The CBSE has come up with a dedicated portal for students who need special facilities. It is pertinent to mention here that CWSN approached the CBSE seeking facilities or exemptions just before the conduct of the examination. Earlier, the CBSE had asked the schools to update the status of the CWSN students through the ‘Pariksha Sangam’ portal.

In its latest notice, the CBSE has asked the schools to fill up details regarding the CWSN students, who wish to avail any facility, on the dedicated portal from December 22 to December 30, 2022.

The board officials said that once selected, the details of the facility or exemption will be mentioned in the admit cards itself. Accordingly, the centre superintendent will be asked to make necessary arrangements in this regard. The web link has been made available on the 'Pariksha Sangam’ portal.

“If the CWSN students desire to avail any facility or exemption permissible by CBSE during the examinations, they can make request through the portal. No request will be entertained after the end of the above-mentioned deadline,” CBSE said in its notice.
