The University Grants Commission (UGC) recently directed all the higher educational institutions to take into account the CBSE board exam result announcement while fixing deadline for the under graduate admission process.

The UGC requested to provide sufficient time to CBSE students, who are awaiting their result, for admission in undergraduate (UG) courses.

Meanwhile, reports are making rounds that the CBSE board exam results announcement may get delayed, especially the CBSE Class 10 result.

As per the latest UGC notice, it may take nearly one more month to declare the results. The performance report for the CBSE 1st term has been communicated to the schools and the evaluation of the 2nd term is under process, reported The Economic Times.

After the evaluation process is completed, the result preparation procedure will begin and subsequently, the final results will be declared. And hence, this entire process is likely to take about a month’s time, it added.

While it is expected that the CBSE Class 12 result will be announced in the last week of July, Class 10 result may be released in the first week of August.

If we look into the result timing by CBSE in the past couple of years, the Class 12 and Class 10 results were declared in the last week of July and August respectively. So, it can be assumed that the board may follow the same pattern for this year too.

On the other hand, a senior CBSE official recently said, "CBSE class 10 and 12 results are likely to declare in the last week of July as per the scheduled fixed by the CBSE and there is no delay in Board results."
