At a time when students are already demanding not to delay the CBSE board exam results, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday informed that the CBSE class 10 and 12 results will be announced in the last week of July as per the schedule.

"CBSE class 10 and 12 results are likely to declare in the last week of July as per the scheduled fixed by the CBSE and there is no delay in Board results," a senior CBSE official told ANI on condition of anonymity.

On the contrary, this year, the Board will be declaring the class 10 and 12 results early despite COVID-19 impact because the exams commenced late and conducted for more than 50 days, the official said.

Earlier, reports were also making rounds that the CBSE results may get delayed due to the flood situations in Assam. However, a board official termed the reports as false and baseless.

"The Board is on track to advance the schedule. UG admission schedule of different institutions are kept in mind and CBSE (is) in touch with the concerned authorities to protect the interest of its students," Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Exams, CBSE had earlier told The Indian Express.

Over 35 lakh students had appeared for the CBSE class 10 and 12 board exams which were conducted in offline mode across the country.
