The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has revised its academic calendar for the session 2021-22.

All the AICTE approved institutions / universities have been asked to follow AICTE and University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines issued from time to time in view of the Covid-19 pandemic, as per an official release.

Clear instructions have been issued to ensure that the classes may be started in online/offline (classroom) or blended mode (online as well as offline) following the prescribed protocols / guidelines related to pandemic.

“The Academic Calendar may change subject to conditions existing due to pandemic and guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health/ Ministry of Home/ Ministry of Education from time to time,” AICTE release said.

AICTE has also warned of punitive action if institutions admit students without prior approval.

AICTE Calendar:

-Last date for grant of approval to technical institutions: June 30, 2021

-Last date for Grant of affiliation by the University/Board: July 15, 2021

-Last date for completion of the first round of counselling, admission for allotment of seats: August 31, 2021

-Last date for commencement of classes for existing students of technical courses is September 1, 2021

-Last date for Completion of second round of counselling / admission for allotment of seats: September 9, 2021

-Last date for cancellation of seats for technical courses with full fee refund: September 10, 2021

-Last date up to which First-Year students can be admitted against vacancies: September 15, 2021

-Last date for commencement of classes for First-Year students of technical courses: September 15, 2021

-Last date for lateral entry admission to Second Year courses for newly admitted students: September 20, 2021
