Rourkela: Five armed dacoits looted around Rs six lakh from the Barsuna branch of the State Bank of India (SBI) in Sundargarh district, about 100 km from here, police said today.
The dacoits walked into the bank last evening and terrorised the staff and customers at gun point before decamping with the cash, the sources said.
The loot amount includes of Rs one lakh from a customer.
The dacoits locked all staff and customers in a room and snatched mobile sets from them before disappearing into the forest nearby.
Police had launched a search operation to nab the miscreants, the sources said.
